I love the true story of the cat named Emily who belonged to a family in Appleton, Wisconsin. She disappeared about a month ago and turned up in Nancy, France, near the German border. Apparently, Emily visited a paper warehouse near her owners' home and ended up in a cargo container headed for France, first by ship and then by truck.
When workers for the French lamination company found her in the container, she was wearing tags that included the name of Emily's vet. They called the vet and he contacted Emily's owners. Now they have to figure out how to get her home.
One of our cat's disappeared a few years ago. His name was Sean McIntyre O'Russo and now I wonder if he went off to Ireland.
