New Kid on the Block

This is Brody, the new kid on the block. He arrived shortly before Christmas to brighten the life of a neighbor and to steal the hearts of everyone who meets him. He had spent many long months at a local shelter but had obviously been well-loved and well-trained by his previous owner.

We have always separated our cats from visiting dogs by use of a gate in the hall. During one of Brody's first visits, the resident royal cat, Ryder, decided the gate was not necessary when Brody came so he promptly crawled under it. We haven't used the gate since and peace reigns.
